Guanacaste

Guanacaste is situated in the Northwestern Pacific coast of Costa Rica.   The region includes several islands in the Gulf of Nicoya and the Isla del Coco.  The region is characterized with dry forest tropical habitat. Because of the minimal runoff the waters are crystal clear and the area offers miles of pristine, white and black sanded beaches.   Also known and the Gold Coast, the area includes several popular beach destinations,  including  Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Playa Coco, Playa Potrero, Playa Conchal, Papagayo Bay and Playa Flamingo
