From the rooftops in Brooklyn and Queens to the Classrooms at Columbia University, Urban Agriculture has strong roots in New York City. Gotham Greens and the Brooklyn Grange are thriving organizations that are not only cashing in on growing and selling agriculture, but both these organizations are also very active in hosting events and promoting knowledge of Urban Agriculture. Vertical farming standards and practices have been data tested and refined as NYC continues to have positive impact in these emerging industries. Agritecture is a NYC based organization that facilitates both urban agriculture and vertical farming design and methodologies. All of these foster opportunities to visit workshops, learn farming techniques and attend unique events at these locations and are available through several different organizations.
